Who in business doesn’t understand the importance of branding? In the past, one of the way people identified their animal property was by “branding” them. The US Government in 1810 realized the importance of distinguishing names and ideas when it established the US Patent and Trademark Office. Not much has changed regarding the importance of branding, even from our past agrarian society. Interestingly enough, with all the knowledge and understanding about designing a brand, not much thought is given to the end product, signs. Every major retail store or franchise logo and/or trademark will eventually be made into a sign, whether it is planned into a design or not. On a product level, a brand must be designed distinctly, visible at 1 inch to 2 inches, to stand out on any store shelf. Brand names act as “little signs” on a shelf. That no thought is generally given to the end product, signage, is of grave importance to branding firms. Where does one begin? Chatterbox Designs, Inc.
